So now that you've got all the details - let's get on with the show:

This is such a cute little set. I decided to go for a super sparkly look, so for the background I tried my hand at using metallic green cardstock, which I ran through a snowflake embossing folder. I loved the result ('though had no idea how hard it was going to be to photograph later!)

The little snowman was stamped on Cloud Nine glitter and I colored him with Copics. I applied 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape to white cardstock and cut out three different snowflakes using the Spellbinders Snowflake die. I peeled off the protective backing and applied Lator Gator Velvet Glitter to get my sparkly green snowflakes!

I made the "snowflake poinsettia" in the same way, except I applied Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter and then distressed the edges with a little green ink. I added one of the snowflakes on top and finished off with a snowflake brad.

My "snow" was created using Mudd Puddles Ice Sea Glass. Full directions can be found here, if needed.

Here he is in his little green winter wonderland! Hope you've enjoyed your visit with me today, remember to leave a comment, as I may be the Mystery Designer. Please pop over to the other Designers' blogs to check out what they have done with these new release sets. You're sure to find plenty of inspiration.

Warm snowy hugs!

A VISIT FROM THE HUBBY!

Here's another Golf card - this time with a little humor!  There may be a few out there that can relate?

I took the lady golfer from Sparkle N Sprinkle's new Golf Set 509 and positioned her behind the window die cut and layered that on top of the brick background. I then stamped the sentiment and made it into a golf ball, using the Polka Dot embossing folder.

The card opens up to the scene that our little lady sees out of her window:

Hubby has just hit his last ball towards the 18th - so he should be home soon!  She better get the lunch ready!!

Here's a closer look at the three inside panels:

Plenty of bling, using Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sparkle N Soft.  I added some to the leaves and clouds and each of the panels are edged with Sparkling Sands.

Some dimensional glue was added to the golf cart and to the flag. The "rough" was achieved using Golf Mudd Puddles.

Well that's it for today, our little golfer is headed home for lunch - I wonder what she's prepared for him?

Hope you have a great day,

Be back soon!

ANOTHER ROUND OF GOLF!

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by!  Today I'm sharing another card that I made from the new Golf Set 509.  I needed a birthday card for a golfer, so this is what resulted:

Although I needed the card to be masculine, so not all glitzy and glamorous, I still wanted to add a little shine and pizzaz.  So using some Gold Detail embossing powder to "distress" the image panel and to edge the card, I was able to add some masculine bling!

There's also some Peruvian Lily Velvet Glitter applied with a glue pen to the Celebrate embossed border!  You know a card's not complete without some glitter! Oh, and do you see that sparkle on the golf ball - it was embossed with Sparkle embossing powder.

I'm not sure, if in the last month I have not used Sparkle embossing powder somewhere on every card?  Every card "needs" sparkle - if there is one "go-to" embossing powder - then this is your man!

Here is the end result - shiny AND masculine!

Hope you've enjoyed your "round of golf" with me today!

Have a wonderful day and remember to take time to "Sparkle"!

FALL IS AROUND THE CORNER

I picked up a leaf yesterday from the driveway which had caught my eye, thinking that I would do something with it stamping wise. This morning, I was reading Judy Rozema's blog and I was inspired to try something with that leaf!  On my way over to the stamping room, I picked up another brightly colored leaf along with a clump of oak leaves with some acorns still attached.

I dried the leaves off and applied Versamark directly to them and heat embossed them with Sparkle and Tuscan Star embossing powders from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used an embossing pen to apply the ink to the acorns and then heat embossed them with Cappuccino Star.

I made the background panel from Kraft cardstock and added Sparkle and Tuscan Star randomly over the piece.

The leaves were stuck to the panel with Tear-ific Tape and dimensionals. I edged the card base with Peruvian Lily velvet glitter which gave the card a frame.

Then came the hardest part, taking a photo!!  I was in my stamping room, outside in the back yard, in the front yard and in the kitchen, looking for the best lighting to capture the sparkle and shine. I finally got a close-to-real image when I propped it up it on the piano music stand with the piano light on it. Perhaps it was the black background that helped.  Not sure, but maybe I've just found my new light tent!

So that's it for today.

Hope to see you back soon.

GOLF ANYONE?

Hi there, I'm back today with another new release from Sparkle N Sprinkle - this time it is the new Golf Set 509. It's a great set for those masculine cards, with which I always seem to have trouble getting started.  I made four different cards, so I'll start with the one I did last - just because I want to!

Using plenty of Sparkle N Sprinkle product - I made the sky and grass with Tear-ific Tapes and Sparkle N Soft.  So there's a lot of fuzzy texture going on in this card.  I colored the images with watercolor crayons and a waterbrush.  Versamark and Sparkle embossing powder were applied to the golf balls to give them that shiny golfball look. Full details can be found here.

Here's another angle of the card which shows off more of the sparkle!  I also framed the card with Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Till next time!

"HOOT OF A PRIZE" WINNER!

A big thanks to all of you that joined us for the latest Sparkle N Sprinkle release of Set 510: Owlettes.  The winner was randomly picked from the (Mystery Designer) Belinda Shupe's blog:

CONGRATULATIONS KAREN LADD!

Please e-mail SNS_Artist@tampabay.rr.com with your mailing address, choice of one glitter and embossing powder which can be used with your dear little owlettes, and we will get your prize in the mail!

While we were preparing for our big release, I played a little with the Owlette set and some of the many products that Sparkle N Sprinkle has to offer. Here are three more designs that I came up with:

This one uses our "Glow in the Dark" embossing powder!  I used a Versamarker pen to apply the embossing powder to the rings around the eyes.  It's also a great embossing powder choice for those upcoming Halloween projects! The instructions are here.

Then I decided to glitter things up a bit, using the Tear-ific Tapes. It's so easy to add strips of bling (not to mention furry softness) to your projects!

For the little owl, I used the 2 1'2" Tear-ific Tape with some Buff Flocking and then shaded with Copics on top. He is also attached to a wobble, another fun element to add to your projects!

I also edged the card base with the 1/2" Tape, centered the card front and applied the Buff Flocking to the exposed edges. Can you see the fuzziness in the frame?

For my last card I decided to use two of the new marbled embossing powders, Ocean and Mojito:

Mojito for the grass, Ocean for the sky! Full details can be found here, if needed:

So there you have a few more ideas for this adorable little set.

Owl be back soon!
