So for my card today, I decided to use one of my photos that I had taken in the backyard last winter. A few glitters and some of the new Nuvo products, Crystal Drops and Glimmer Paste were used to make my sparkly winter scene.

I used the new Nuvo Fine Tip Glue Pen to apply my glitters over the snow on the branches, doing little sections at a time. Starting with Cloud Nine, then on to Lavender Iris.

Then to Starfire and finally Crystal Ice.

Midnight Blue Crystal Drops were then added to the photo to finish off the background.:

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black, fussy cut and colored with Copics ((B24, B32, B34, C3, E13, E33) and then some Twinkling Clouds were applied to the branch with Brushable Glue.

Dimensional Glue was added to his eye. Glimmer Paste Blue Topaz was applied with a palette knife to his wing and tail.

The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock in Versamark and then heat embossed with one of the Tuscany embossing powders, Cerulean.  Memento Teal Zealand Danube Blue were sponged around the edges of the sentiment after it was cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Label.

I made a bow with blue organdy ribbon. The bow was attached with the sentiment on Foam Squares as shown. This was then layered to a white card base edged with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and the edges were applied with Denim Glitter.

The image was then attached with Foam Squares also, to finish up my card for today.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

OH CHRISTMAS TREE!

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share my last SNS October Reveal card.  I used the Christmas Tree Tag from the Christmas Tags #1: Set 805.

Oh Christmas Tree

I started with cutting out the Spellbinders Holiday Dies set, from different scrap pieces of green cardstocks and before removing the dies I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves ink over the pieces, which gave each of the pieces a different two-toned look.

Oh Christmas Tree

I stamped the Christmas Tree tag onto white cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed with Pear and cut out with the a Spellbinders Standard Circles die. I was aiming to give this card a monochromatic look, so each of the pieces were then daubed with Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse. I burnished extra onto the edges of the trees with my finger tool.

Oh Christmas Tree

I made my background by using the big daubers to apply a piece of white cardstock with Lemon Sorbet and Spring Green Embellishment Mousses.

Oh Christmas Tree

The background was layered to dark green before the white card base. The trees were then added overlapping one another using Tear-ific Tape and Foam Squares. The little orange star was punched from a scrap of orange cardstock which had been applied with some Moonstone Glimmer Paste.

Oh Christmas Tree

The Nuvo Crystal Drops Bottle Green were applied to the top right corner as shown.

Oh Christmas Tree

I hope you've enjoyed my monochromatic card today?

I'd like to join in the following challenges:

AUTUMN GIRLFRIENDS

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share with you another of the October Reveal Sets over at Sparkle N Sprinkle: Autumn Girlfriends Set 810.  These two girls are having a blast in their pile of leaves! Isn't it fun when you have a friend that you can just do silly things with? I've got a girlfriend coming this afternoon, who is just like that! We share the same birthday, she was a neighbor, then she moved first to Connecticut and now is in New York. We see each other maybe three times a year, and each time we do, it's like she never left! There are lots of leaves in my yard this morning, maybe you'll catch us out there this afternoon!!!

I began by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics. The sky and the grass were sponged with Memento Bamboo Leaves and Summer Sky inks.

The leaves were then applied with glue from the Fine Tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow was sprinkled on top, to give the pile of leaves lots of sparkle!

The image was cut with Memory box Cross Stitched Frame Border. These girls love to sew together too!

My background was a piece of white cardstock which I misted with water using the Mini Mister and then tapped on some yellow, orange, red and green Nuance powders. I dried it with my heat tool, to quicken up the process! I then made another piece with the same colors and cut my leaves from that using the Sizzix Tattered Leaves die.

My leaves were applied with Moonstone Glimmer Paste, I applied the paste with a spatula on top of a piece of protective backing sheet from the Adhesive Sheets. It was important here, as some of the colors ran into the paste, so I reused it on the leaves, rather than putting it back in the jar, contaminated. Nothing was wasted!

I cut out the little die from the middle of the background sheet.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Black Detail. The little leaves were colored with Orange Copic and then I attached it to the bottom of the image. These were then attached to the Nuance background with Foam Squares. The background was layered to a black card base.

The leaves were attached to the card using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and Foam Squares. Some were placed on top of the image and some tucked under - like a pile of leaves. Those hanging over the edges were cut off with my scissors.

That brings us to my finished card for today:

Hope you've enjoyed your stay and that I've inspired you to get some of the gorgeous Moonstone Glimmer Paste!

I'd like to enter my card in the following Challenges:
World Wide Open Design Team Challenge #15: Anything Goes
Path of Positivity Challenge #42: Friendship

Till next time,

Big Hugs,

CHRISTMAS ELEPHANT IN THE WOODS!

Hi there,

Today I'd like to share with you a card using the October Reveal Elephant Christmas Tree Set: 802 and the new Nuvo Glimmer Paste Moonstone.

Christmas Elephant

I made my step card base using the Sizzix Balloons Step-Ups as a guide. I cut the inside panels from Super Adhesive sheets and stuck them on to the front panel and the two little steps. I repurposed the stamp by stamping the image on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black and then I fussy the elephant and tree out, as I wanted him to be decorating his chosen tree out in the woods! I know elephants don't live in the woods, but call it artistic licence!

Christmas Elephant

Our little friend was colored with Copics: YG03, YG06, YG67, Y17, R37, N2, C3, C5 and Dimensional Glue was applied to the baubles and the star, and to his hat and tail to which was added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft, for some dimensional sparkle. I die cut the trees with the Die-namites die cut Winter Forest and split it up so that it would fit on the steps of the card. The were sponged with Memento Olive Grove, Bamboo Leaves and Peanut Brittle and then once the inks were dry, I put them on a piece of left-over protective backing and applied the Moonstone Glimmer Paste with a spatula. I find that it is a very easy clean-up when you used the protective backing, none of the paste is wasted, just scoop up any paste from the sheet and put back in the jar. This was put aside to dry - though it doesn't take very long - half an hour at most.

Christmas Elephant

I did the same process with the Memory Box Curved Merry Christmas, leaving "Merry" white.

Christmas Elephant

The Glimmer Paste makes the piece very pliable.  When this was dry I stuck a piece of 3/4" Tear-ific Tape to the back of the "christmas" and burnished Cloud Nine to the word. The assembly of the card was next. I started with the steps, by removing the backing of the Super Adhesive Sheet scraps that I had put on the front of the steps. I then placed the two trees on the back step and then covered the remaining sticky surface with Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter. I repeated the process with the three trees and then placed the elephant on the front panel together with the Merry Christmas die. The Merry Christmas die was slightly wider than the card, so I turned it over and cut off the overlapping edges.

Christmas Elephant

Here is a closer look at the dimension achieved with the Dimensional Glue.

MERRY CHRISTMAS CIRCLE FLIP-IT

Hi there,

Today I want to share a couple of new products over in the Sparkle N Sprinkle shop: Gilding Flakes and Glimmer Pastes along with one of the new Reveal Sets: Christmas Tags 805.

I took a Super Adhesive Sheet and trimmed off a little on the length and stuck it down on to a half sheet of white cardstock. I ran it through my machine with the Sizzix 657586: Card, Circle Flip-its Die.

I took the backing off the left front and the back front. I placed the backing from the left to the right edge of the back front, before applying the Silver Bullion Gilding Flakes to the sticky surfaces.

So then the two remaining background taken off and the Radiant Gold Flakes were applied to the stick surfaces.

End result:

I cut the circle piece out of a Super Adhesive Sheet from the Circle Flip-Its die and applied it to the back of the circle. I pulled back the backing before applying the Silver Bullion to the right side

... and then peeled off the remaining backing and applied the Radiant Gold to the left.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail and Silver Detail. It was cut out with Spellbinders Standard Circle die. Then I rubbed a little Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse around the edge of the circle.

I applied Moonstone Glimmer Paste to the entire piece and set it aside to dry, while I did the "to and from" tag for the back of the flip in Silver Detail embossing powder.

Nuvo Silver Lining Crystal and Silver Moondust Glitter drops were applied to the gold corners. Honey Gold Glitter and Bright Gold Crystal drops were applied to the silver corners. Once the Glimmer paste was dry the image was attached to the front panel with Foam Squares to finish off my project.

Hope you've enjoyed my share today.

Hugs,

Shona
