Come Home Soon!

Hi there,
I'm here today to share a card with you using the Sparkle N Sprinkle You're my Hero Set 946

To begin with I stamped both the sentiment and the image on blue cardstock with Versamark and then heat embossed with White Detail. I kept everything very simple on this card, just regular cutting of the image and also cutting up the sentiment.

1/2" Tear-ific Tape was then repeatedly layered diagonally to a piece of 5 1/4" x 4" piece of white cardstock. After trimming the edges of the card the protective backing from the tape was removed and Gypsy Red Microfine Glitter was burnished into the tape using my finger tool.

This piece was layered to a grey card base and the image was attached with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and the sentiment was staggered on the front with mounting tape. The little dog tag stickers were added to the bottom right corner to finish of my card.

Below is a list of the products used on my card today. You can use my designer code at check out, ShonaDT10,  to receive an extra 10% off anything over at the Sparkle N Sprinkle store.

Botanical Ruffled Peonies

Hi there,
Today I am sharing my second card for the April Reveal, showcasing the gorgeous stamp set 938: Botanical Ruffled Peonies. This set, designed by Donna Ellis, is also available as a bundle, together with the Vintage Peony Set 930.

Using another die that I recently acquired called the Die'sire Garden Party, I cut the bottom off a piece of 12" x 6" white cardstock.

Next I stamped the image in Versafine Clair Golden Meadow and heat embossed with Gold Detail. It has a beautiful golden sheen.

I then sponged Versafine Clair Cheerful and Verdant on the flowers and leaves.

I cut a circle using Lifestyles Crafts Nesting Circle dies from the middle of a piece of 5 3/4" square piece of paper from the Meadow Lark Collection.  I layered the top part to the front of the card (above the die cut piece) and then put the bottom part on the inside of the card. The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Versafine Claire Nocturne. A piece of self adhesive lace was attached along the bottom of the designer paper. You can see the shine from the Gold Detail embossing powder in the photo below.

This finished my card for today.

Thanks for stopping by today. Below you will find the products that I used in my card. If you like, you may use my code ShonaDT10 to receive an extra 10% off anything on the SNS website.

Vintage Peony Happy Birthday Wishes

Hi there,
I'm back today to share my first Sparkle N Sprinkle April Reveal card using the Vintage Peony Inspiration Set 930. The two peony sets, by Donna Ellis, are just amazing and can be bought as a bundle, to save a few pennies.

I recently bought a few dies on clearance and this was one of them: the Die'sire Wishing You a Happy Birthday. I started off with a folded 12" x 6" piece of white cardstock and placed the die about a 1/4 of the way down the right side of the cardstock.

The cardstock was placed in the stamp platform and stamped twice with Versafine Claire Morning Mist. It gave a really nice detailed look. These inks show great detail and are embossable, so I heat set with Sparkle (EP107)

I then colored in the image with Copics.

I covered the right hand inside of the card with designer paper from the Meadow Lark Collection, and as the Copics had bled through the front panel I cut a little rectangle of the same paper to apply to the left of the inside. I would later cut a piece of white cardstock and place on the inside right for my birthday  message.

Diamond Dust was applied to the center of the peony with Dimensional Glue. I added three Strawberry Coulis Nuvo Jewel Drops and wrapped some pink baker's twine around the spine to finish of my card.

Here is another quick example using this gorgeous image.

I hope you have enjoyed my share today. Below is the list of products used in my card today. The linked items can be purchased on the website and you can use my code ShonaDT10 at checkout for an extra 10% off everything in the store.

Seasons Greetings!

Hi there,

Welcome to my first card for April! We're in the 70's today and the forsythia, crocuses (my header photo) and daffodils are putting on quite a show. The trees are starting to bud out too, I was in shorts and t-shirt setting up my bee hives today - as my bees are due to arrive sometime this week!

Today I have a card to share with you for the Christmas at Sweet Stampin' April 2019 Challenge.  Be sure to take a look at the inspiration from the Design Team. This month they have an optional theme, which is monochrome. I chose to play with silvers.

To begin with I stamped the background stamp from Technique Junkies - Winter Wonderland in Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Lightning

As you will see I failed to get a good impression with the stamp up in the sky area - so I decided to stamp in Versafine Claire Morning Mist and then heat emboss with Sparkle

Here you can see the difference:

So I fussy cut the sky area out of the Versafine Claire version and added it to the top of the Silver Lightning background. I die cut three snowflakes from glossy cardstock. Two were inked with Versamark and heat embossed with Silver Lightning and the third was heat embossed with Sparkle. I also die cut the Sweet Cuts Classy Deer from Silver cardstock and heat embossed with Silver Lightning.

I placed them on the card and thought that it would be better if the deer was a little darker, for contrast, so I added a little Versafine Claire Morning Mist on top of the embossed deer and then heat embossed with another silver embossing powder, Shimmer, this worked out nicely. The Tonic die Seasons Greetings was cut from silver cardstock. Then it was time to assemble everything. I layered the background to white glossy which was then layered to silver cardstock, but I didn't have it go all the way to the bottom of the card. The snowflakes were then adhered with mounting tape.

The deer was added with mounting tape, positioned like it was touching the white snowflake. The Seasons Greetings die was attached using Nuvo Precision Glue, overlapping the base of the front panel.

That finished of my project for the day! Hope you've enjoyed my monochromatic share and I look forward to seeing some of your projects over on the CASS site!

Below are the products that I used today. If they have a link - that means they are from the Sparkle N Sprinkle website and you can receive a further 10% of anything on the website by using my personal code ShonaDT10 at the checkout.
