Hi everyone,
It's OK, I am still here - just a little oil needed to get me going again! Unlike most, I really like January, as I look forward to getting my own time back and getting back to a routine - which I tend to lose every year right around Halloween! Each year it just seems to get worse instead of better! Why is that? You'd think I would know by now to start making these Christmas cards in July - with 162 to do this year (I was still up there on Christmas Eve)!
I have a few birthdays (all older ladies) right between Christmas and New Year and had to come up with something quick after I was done with the Christmas cards. I don't even remember where I got the recipe, but it was just the ticket and I quickly was able to make four of them while everyone else in the house was sleeping in on Boxing Day!
It made a nice change of pace from the Christmas theme too.
As you can see there wasn't much stamping to it, the only stamp being the saying from Sparkle N Sprinkle set 429 Blossoms, but it sure was fun to do. Hope you like my version of the January Blues!
That's just too stinkin' cute!!!
ReplyDeleteShona, that is such a cute card!! Absolutely love it!!
ReplyDeleteoh my, Shona! this is super darling! Pretty papaers, lovely white punches. Great idea for the neck line! Is that what holds the two pieces together? Or is there a fold there for the card base? The pearls make this extra sweet! So are you going to share the template? I'm always happy seeing the pretty ways you utilize pastels.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful feminine card Shona. It's so cute

ReplyDeleteSo Cute! Love the collar and lacy waistband! Is it your original template?

ReplyDeleteThis is just too cute. What a nice change from the boxy cards we all make. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo, so cute! Who wouldn't want this card for their birthday?! It's just adorable! Love the color and the pearls :)
ReplyDeleteShona this is so totally adorable! Really cute paper, accents, and perfect saying - really great card!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can TOTALLY relate to losing track of everything starting around Halloween! I don't know what happens either, but I'm glad I'm not the only one! I too am trying to get back to some type of "normal" this month too! Here's hoping we're both successful!
Again, really cute card!
