Well here we are, the second day of Spring - and it's snowing again!  I hope it's not going to come to much, as I've got too much to do today, most of which involves being out and about in the car.

I just got my Vamp Stamp News e-article yesterday. I had four cards published, so I thought I'd share them on my post this morning.

The challenge for March was Doodling, Hand-lettering and Stamps.  I really wasn't sure what to do here, but I played around with a couple of ideas and came up with the following cards:

You are supposed to use at least one stamped image in each of your cards.  So here I chose to start by stamping the three different butterflies from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Fancy Butterflies Set 437.  Then I just started playing!

For the next one I thought I'd try doodling on the inside of the image.  Here is my attempt at that:

Next, I tried doodling with different colored pens.  I used outline stickers to doodle with!

... and for the last one .... I "cheated" and used  pre-made stamps from the Sparkle N Sprinkle set 463 - Zendoodle Flowers.

I stamped on top of Cloud Nine velvet glitter for the main image in this one and colored with Copics.

If you want more full instructions of any of the cards, or take look at the informative e.article you can see it here

Thanks for stopping by today,

'Till next time!

  1. Congratulations on being published yet again and great job with the doodling! I especially like the doodling inside the flowers!

  2. Love these Shona, espcially the middle card. Smashing doodling:)
If it makes you feel any better it's freezing here too

  3. All of these are amazing! Congrats on getting published (again) :-). This is something I definitely want to do.

  4. Congratulations on getting published! I have never even tried and here you have 4 at once! Love the doodling by the way!

  5. Congratulations, Shona! These cards are beautiful! So Spring-like! I especially like the stamping on glitter. I may just have to order some of that velvet glitter!

  6. Oh my goodness! These are all just so beautiful! Super job, Shona. I can't draw a straight line so I'm amazed at your creativity.

  7. Shona, these are wonderful! For a moment, I did not even recognize the SNS butterflies! I like how you used 3 colors of ink with the doodling in black. The happy bloomin' birthday card looks great! My favorite parts are the doodled hearts and squiggly stems. Those orchids are from the 60s, right? They are dropping acid, and they are all abuzz with a psychedelic blitz, right? Did I guess right? Do I win a prize? LOL Look at thhose lavender/blue eyes on each ordhid. LOL Still, I prefer your doodles over the last pretty card. Great ideas and wonderful cards, Shona! hugs, de, who needs to attempt doodling, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share in part of your day. I would love to hear what you think about my latest creation!
