Purple Bauble

Hi and welcome back to my blog. Today I have another card for the Holly and Ivy Challenge, where as always it is anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

I used the Sweet Poppy stencil that I got a couple of years ago - so versatile!

I taped it down directly to the card front that I was going to use.

The little village from the snowglobe stamp set was then stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink, inside the bauble.

Memento Ink was then sponged all around the stencil.

I "colored" the little village with just three old Stampin' Up watercolor pencils, purple, gray and black, to keep a monochrome look to the card.

A pretty lilac ribbon was added to the side of the card to finish it off!

That's all for today! I hope I've inspired you to play along in the Holly and Ivy Challenge?

See you soon!

Pink Scenery

Hi there! Welcome back to my blog and my card for the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge.

Just to tie in with Valentine's Day, we would like to see anything pink in your creations this month!

So using different pinks, I set about my card. First I stamped the dotted background using A Stampin' Up set called Gorgeous Grunge.

Both Memento Inks Rose Bud and Angel Pink were used for the background.

I think this idea looks best with a silhouette stamp, so I decided to do a little scene using a tree and two of the deer from a Simon Says Stamp set.

I had a Sparkle N' Sprinkle sentiment "Peaceful Wishes" that I thought would go well with the scene, however this was rubber, the silhouettes were clear mounted. So I put them on each side of the stamp platform, as I wanted to then heat emboss them with Sparkle powder. They were stamped with Versafine Clair Charming Pink and then heat embossed with the Sparkle powder.

The white stamped panel was mounted on to a layer of pink and then on to a white card base. An pink organdy ribbon finished off the card. Hope you're inspired to join in the February Challenge with us. Check out what the rest of the Design Team has for you and what you can win!

Till next time,

HAI Let Heaven & Nature Sing

Hi there and welcome back to my blog. My February header is Witch-hazel with a bee already collecting pollen!

I'm glad you stopped over today to see what I have made for the latest Holly and Ivy Challenge. As always it is an anything goes theme, so why don't you play along with us this time? Never to early to get those Christmas cards made!

This card started as a partially-started card which was sitting on my desk.

This die came as a set with the bird, branch, leaves and sentiment stamps and dies.

I stamped the bird and branch in Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and heat embossed with Sparkle.

These two images were die cut and then attached to the background piece.

This was layered to a white card base and then I colored the bird very faintly with watercolor pencils. The sentiment from the set was stamped in Nocturne also and heat embossed with Sparkle and then I fussy cut it out. This was attached to the front with dimensional tape.

A black and white ribbon finished off the card. Hope I've inspired you to play along in the challenge.

Till next time!
