HAI Merry Christmas Holly

Hi there and welcome back to my blog!  

Today I am back with another card for the Holly and Ivy Challenge, where as always it is an Anything Goes challenge. Hope to inspire you to share a card with us!

I started with the big background stamp from Hero Arts. I inked up the big stamp with Versamark and as it is such a big stamp, I laid the light grey cardstock on top of the inked stamp and burnished the ink on to the cardstock.

I then heat embossed with Gold detail embossing powder.

Going back to the watercolors I've been using lately, I colored in the leaves and berries with the water brush.

I stamped an old sentiment from a Hero Arts stamp set, along with the little sprig of holly on red cardstock in Versamark ink and also heat embossed with the Gold Detail powder.

This was then die cut with a Spellbinders die.

This was attached to the holly background with two gold brads and a piece of green organdy ribbon, before being layered to the green card base.

 Hello there. Thanks for stopping by my blog! August's header is a hummingbird visitor at the Crocosmia flower, boy is that flower a magnet to these little cuties!

Today I have a card for the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge. This month we are looking for CAS cards!

So this one had to be clean and simple! I chose another old Sparkle n' Sprinkle set and stamped my little elf in the corner,  like he was peeking around a door? He was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed with Clear Detail. 

I used the same watercolor paints that I've been using lately - really liking them!

After he was all colored in, I stamped a sentiment from the same set and that finished my card for today.

Family is the best part

 Hi there and welcome back to my blog! My August header is a little hummingbird visiting the Crocosmia - how they love this flower!

My card today is for the Holly and Ivy Challenge, which is always anything goes. I hope you will be inspired to play along with us?

Today I decided to use an old, never been used, Sparkle n Sprinkle set. 

I took three of the penguins and positioned them in the Stamp Platform along with the sentiment and stamped them with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

I then heat embossed using Clear Detail powder, so that when I used the watercolors, the ink wouldn't run.

I've been having fun lately using these watercolors and water brush to color.
