Bauble Greetings

Hi there and many thanks for stopping by! Today I have another card for the Holly and Ivy Challenge, where anything goes. Why don't you join us for the challenge - Christmas will be here before you know it!

First of all I embossed the white background panel. It was then layered on to a piece of red cardstock before the white card base.

I had a scrap piece of embossed gold stamped paper, so I die cut the front and the back of the die for the bauble.

I die cut the edge of the bauble from the same piece from the underside.

The sentiment was then stamped in Versamark and embossed with Gold Detail.

The sentiment was cut by hand and then placed under the bauble which was stuck on with dimensional foam.

That is my card for today! Hope you've enjoyed your visit?

Till next time,

Shona

CCC Presents under the Tree

Hi there and thanks for stopping over. Today I have another quick post for the September Christmas Craft Creations Challenge

This month we want to see a card or something using ribbon or twine.

I thought I'd "wrap up" some pressies with ribbon and put them under the tree!

I covered the little wooden blocks with Christmas paper from an old Christmas pad.

I used my EZbow to make my little bows.

I die cut the Christmas tree from green cardstock.

A piece of double-sided adhesive was taped to a red card base and after removing the protective cover the green tree was laid on the adhesive.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Claire Tulip Red ink and heat embossed with Clear Detail powder.

It was then cut out with a Lawn Fawn die cut.

The sentiment was attached to the base of the card and then the parcels were also placed at the base of the tree.

Fire Engine Red glitter was then sprinkled on the remaining sticky surface, which produced a nice sparkly effect.

That finished my card for today. Hope you have been inspired to join along in this month's challenge?

Till next time,

Shona

They said there would be days like this!

Hi there and welcome back! Today I have a quick card that I created for the Holly and Ivy Challenge using an old Sparkle N' Sprinkle set.

I stamped both the scene and the sentiment in Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and heat embossed with Clear Detail.

The scene was then colored with watercolor pencils.

I trimmed down the panel using the Spellbinders rectangle die and then layered it on to a piece of red cardstock, before layering it to the white card base.

A little red ribbon was tied to the side of the card to finish. Please join in with us over at the Holly and Ivy Challenge, where it is always anything goes!

Till next time,

Shona
