Things have been really hectic for the last two weeks, with all the end-of-school activities, so I was unable to get my usual publication submissions done in time. However, I did get published in the June edition of Vamp Stamp News. This month the article covers different techniques using pigment powders. I had forgotten how to use these, as it's been such a while since I've played with them. Anyway, I'd like to share one that I made, using the new Sparkle N Sprinkle set Bird Song:
I love the look that is achieved using the Perfect Pearls on the dark cardstock - and the way it shimmers as you turn it and the light hits. I stamped the small feathers in Versamark and added Interference Perfect Pearls in Green, Violet, Red and Blue to make the background and then applied all four colors on the big feathers.
Well that's my quick share for today.
'Till next time,
Shona
A very pretty card Shona and a nice using of the perfect pearls.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love those feathers!!! Love the look you got using the PP Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking card, Shona! It caught my eye immediately with your mix of colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Love the unusual colours and the sentiment.

Wonderful card. Love you design and the colors you chose. I forget to use my Perfect Pearls and this makes me want to pull them back out. Congrats on getting it published.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the feathers. This is my favorite set! Great job on your card!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Love how you layered the feathers.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing job. I love the contrast of the colors to the black paper.
ReplyDeleteHow ironic! I have been dreaming about making a feather card using 3 black panels covered with black EP, and then stamp that feather image into each of the panels and "color" with perfect pearls! Too funny! Your card is beautiful. I don't think mine will look that good. Also, we have both been working on cards with HEARTS this week! We are definitely on the same wave length - my heart is the same color - white and that pretty blue - too coincidental! I love that sentiment with your feathers, Shona. It is beautiful! Wonder if I'll still do the feather card LOL
ReplyDeletehugs,
