COME JOIN THE PARTY!

Hi everyone,

Today I would like to share with you another glittered creation using one of the gorgeous Dreamweaver Stencils, some Sticker Paper and some Glitters. You can find the tutorial here.

I took the Wave Dreamweaver Stencil and rubbed it with Coconut Soap before applying the Sticker Paper (this allows you to separate the stencil from the paper easily). I applied Jasper Blue Velvet Glitter over the stencil and rubbed it in gently to the sticky open areas of the stencil. Brush off the excess glitter and put back in jar.

Separate the Sticker Paper from the stencil and then apply Olaf White, one of the SNS semi-transparent "Frozen" glitters. Burnish the glitter into the remaining sticky surface and you have a stunning, sparkly background!

This image is from the Party Penguins Set 654. These fun-loving little guys were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with Copics: YR16, Y17, C3, C5, B60, B34 and B95. I fussy cut the major part of the image, but not it all, as I wanted more of my background to show. I applied some Dimensional Glue to the beaks. Waterscape Glitter was applied to the top of the floating ice, and Waterfall was applied to the splash and edge of the ice using a Sakura Glue Pen. You can see the difference in the blueness of the two glitters in the photo below:

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with one of my favorite Tuscany Embossing Powders, Mediterranean. These powders are so detailed and work great for sentiments, when you are looking to write in color. After hand cutting the banner, I edged it with some Memento Teal Zeal Ink.

The Sticker Paper background was adhered to pale blue cardstock before being layered to the white card base. Both the sentiment and the image were popped up using Dimensional Dots and my Penguin Party was complete!

Hope you've enjoyed my share today and will have a go at making some awesome backgrounds with the ever-sparkly Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitters.

Have a great day!

Shona
