HAI Let Heaven & Nature Sing

Hi there and welcome back to my blog. My February header is Witch-hazel with a bee already collecting pollen!

I'm glad you stopped over today to see what I have made for the latest Holly and Ivy Challenge. As always it is an anything goes theme, so why don't you play along with us this time? Never to early to get those Christmas cards made!

This card started as a partially-started card which was sitting on my desk.

This die came as a set with the bird, branch, leaves and sentiment stamps and dies.

I stamped the bird and branch in Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and heat embossed with Sparkle.

These two images were die cut and then attached to the background piece.

This was layered to a white card base and then I colored the bird very faintly with watercolor pencils. The sentiment from the set was stamped in Nocturne also and heat embossed with Sparkle and then I fussy cut it out. This was attached to the front with dimensional tape.

A black and white ribbon finished off the card. Hope I've inspired you to play along in the challenge.

Till next time!

  1. Beautiful card Shona, it looks great in black and white with just a pop of colour. When I read the title of your post, I started humming the carol ‘Joy to the World’ and now I can’t get it out of my head! 🤣 xx
