CCC Christmas Poinsettia

 

Hi there and welcome back to my blog! 

Today I have a card for the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge, which for July is an anything goes theme! So come on show us what you have! We also have a Design Team call going on right now, so if you are interested just put DT after your link.

So for my card today I went with a completely different idea. I found some paints that are so cool and will be using much more of! Decided to also use an unused Sparkle N' Sprinkle set.

I stamped the big poinsettia and the sentiment from the same stamp set in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink using the stamp platform on watercolor paper and then heat embossed with Clear Detail powder.

I then just started playing with these really cool watercolors!

Using a few of the pink, reds and green hues I did a little watercoloring! (A little outside the lines - OK, right?)

I decided to put a little shine on the buds in the middle, so added some Nuvo Glitter Accents.

This panel was layered onto red and then popped up with dimensional foam onto a white card base to finish off the card.
