Bauble Greetings

Hi there and thanks for stopping by today. Today I have a card for the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge, which is always an anything goes challenge. Time to start making those Christmas cards!!!

I started with this die that I recently purchased from Lifecraft dies.

I then cut out the branches from green cardstock and then the baubles were cut from red and silver metallic cardstock.

Since the baubles were shiny, I thought that I should "spruce" up the greenery, so inked up the piece with Versamark and applied Clear Detail embossing powder.

So then I put a piece of double-sided tape on top of a piece of Kraft cardstock.

After removing the protective backing, the die cut pieces were placed on the sticky surface and the die cuts were added.

Green Iris glitter was then added to the remainder of the sticky surface.

Now for the sentiment? Can I stamp on top of the glitter? Sure!

However, the Olive green didn't stand out enough, so I then stamped right on top, since I had it in the Stamp Positioner, with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Now we can read it!

Here's a close-up!

... and here is the finished card with a bow!

Hope I've inspired you to join in the fun over at the Holly and Ivy Challenge

Till next time,

Shona
